Either way, we’ll be giving you an interactive form to rate the companies as you listen to their pitches. At the end of the hour-long event, we’ll add up your numbers and give you the overall rating of each of the five companies.
Hopefully, all five will intrigue you as much as they intrigued me. Whether they do or not, you’re going to get an inside look on how entrepreneurs are trying out their ideas in some of the country’s hottest and most innovative sectors.
Here is a brief description of the five companies I’ve selected for you:
- CoFoundersLab: Helps entrepreneurs build their founding teams by matching them through an online platform and at in-person co-founder meetups held in more than 35 cities globally. Over 100 companies have launched through its system.
- GreenWizard: Provides a SaaS (software as a service) enterprise application that allows architects and contractors to make the most informed decisions regarding green building products. The company works with half of the top 10 U.S design firms plus the top three contractors.
- Nooch: Its payment platform links with any existing bank account to fund payments to friends, family, landlords, charities and more. Nearly $10,000 in person-to-person volume processed to date.
- Pristine EyeSight: Provides a video communication platform via Google Glass for healthcare personnel including surgeons, emergency responders, and home health and wound care nurses. Revenue is $6,500 a month and growing.
- SpyGlass: Its network of sensors delivers real-time water information via the Internet to workers operating in the oil & gas industries. The company has generated $1.8M in revenue since 2009.
