Among the young pantheon of equity crowdfunding portals, few have specialized in a particular industry or market. The brand-new New Jersey-based portal StartupValley is an exception, placing an emphasis on one of the most numerous (and most important) kinds of small businesses: Tech startups.

Founded in 2012 by Internet marketing executive Daryl Bryant, StartupValley remains in beta while American equity crowdfunders and crowdfundees wait for the SEC to implement the JOBS Act. In the meantime, the site offers preregistration for interested investors and startups.
