Lately I’ve been extremely bullish on crypto. And for good reason. But I want to take a step back today.
I want to make sure we don’t get too far ahead of ourselves. It will take time for these big institutional firms to fully move into crypto. The major excitement really just started over the last month or so.
I’m not saying this to be a downer. I’m just trying to make sure we don’t get too bullish, too fast. There’s always the risk of a significant pullback caused by a hack or market downturn — or anything really.
This is why I remain a long-term investor. I don’t do short-term trading, especially in crypto. And I strongly recommend you do the same. If you are determined to trade short-term — or use leverage — please do so carefully. Only use a small part of your crypto portfolio for these highly speculative trades.
In the crypto market, anything can happen. So be careful out there. And try not to get sucked into marketing hype over questionable altcoin projects. If you’re going to invest in something, make sure there’s a real community and project — not just hype.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m still very bullish on crypto. But I think it’s important to have realistic, achievable expectations. Stay the course, and don’t be disappointed if we do get a pullback.
