Crypto Monitor: Fidelity Ready to Launch Crypto Service; Bittrex Exits New York

Summary

We’ve been talking about it for about a year now… and it’s finally happening. Fidelity will officially launch its crypto trading services for institutional investors in the coming weeks. Andy Gordon discusses just how big a deal this is for the crypto world.

Unfortunately, it’s not all good news. Binance, a major crypto exchange, endured a $40 million hack this week.

And Bittrex was denied a BitLicense in New York, which means it’s stopped operating in the state. Why was it denied? It depends on who you ask…

Bitfinex, meanwhile, is facing a lawsuit from the New York Attorney General’s office… and it’s another reminder of why we’re not fans of tether.

Despite all this, the crypto markets have been rallying. And as Adam Sharp explains, the good news still to come.
