How to Locate Your Bitcoin Public Address (in Coinbase)

Any time you wish to receive a bitcoin transfer, you’ll need to provide the sender with your bitcoin “public address.” Your public address is a code (it looks like a long string of numbers and letters). The code allows a person or entity to send bitcoin to you.

For security reasons, your wallet provider will generate a new public address each time you wish to receive a transfer. To locate your bitcoin public address, follow the steps below…

Step 1: Log in to your Coinbase account.

Step 2: Click on the “Accounts” tab.

Step 3: Click on the “Receive” button within your bitcoin (BTC) wallet.

Step 4: This will generate a wallet address you can use to receive your bitcoin transfer. It will be a long string of numbers and letters, like this.

Step 5: To “copy” your bitcoin address, simply click on the clipboard icon next to your address listing. Now you can provide this address if someone is sending bitcoin to you, or if you’re transferring your bitcoin from another exchange/wallet to your Coinbase account.
