Dear Member,

Before we get into today’s update, I want to highlight a free opportunity you can all take advantage of. Our friends at Republic, a leading equity crowdfunding platform, just released their own token called the note.

If you aren’t familiar with Republic, it’s a platform where startup companies raise money by selling equity (private shares). Republic keeps 2% of all equity raised on its platform. It plans to put a portion of that startup equity into these new tokens (notes). The details are still being finalized, but Republic wants its members to participate in the success of the platform. And this looks like an amazing way to do just that.

Republic has made it possible for our members to get 10 free notes here (you’ll need to create an account if you don’t have one yet). Simply click the “Earn 10 Notes” button and follow the instructions.

Republic is one of the top equity crowdfunding platforms in the U.S., and these notes have extremely promising long-term potential. It’s the most creative use of a crypto token I’ve come across in a very long time.

Crypto Market

Bitcoin passed above its 200-day moving average for the first time in more than a year. This is a very bullish technical signal. As analysts at Fundstrat Global Advisors noted…

Six-month forward returns [for bitcoin] average 193% compared to a measly 10% when below its 200-day moving average – hence, being above the 200-day moving average is a big deal.

I believe quality altcoins will follow if bitcoin continues its bullish momentum. In our portfolio, I remain especially bullish on nano, decred and ravencoin.

There’s a lot of talk of a new “altseason” starting, and I’m optimistic myself. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. We’ll continue to monitor markets and look for strategic entry points into the most promising projects.

I follow Thomas Lee, Fundstrat’s head of research, on Twitter, and he made a great point recently. He noted that historically, all of bitcoin’s gains happen in its top 10 days of the year.

Thomas Lee

That’s right. If you missed bitcoin’s best 10 days of the year, you’d actually be down 25% since 2013! This is the ultimate reason to hodl. The same concept holds true in altcoins. Pick a few quality coins and hunker down for a while.

I’m evaluating a number of promising new positions and will let you know as soon as I find another great setup.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Adam
